Psychologist Lyudmila Suzdaltseva gave the citizens of the Russian Federation practical advice that will help them learn how to make a choice

A person throughout life regularly has to make a choice. How to make decisions in difficult situations, she told in an interview with FAN psychologist and gestalt therapist Lyudmila Suzdaltseva.

The choice of university, work and other related decisions impose a great responsibility on young shoulders, which many cannot cope with. It is important to learn to understand your true desires and follow them, the expert notes.

“For a young man, however, this is a very difficult search for oneself: what is more important for me now? What is actually more important? We also formulated the image that we should have everything and everywhere, and always beautiful, ”the psychologist touches on the problem of youth.

People experience pressure from outside from parents, environment and society. If it is not easy for a person to make everyday decisions, then serious steps will be even harder for him. In this case, Suzdaltseva advises to be more indulgent and sensitive to yourself, not to demand the impossible from yourself.

“Very often we demand this: I haven’t tried anything, I don’t know anything, but I should already know what I want. And to choose what I want is the same skill as everyone else, ”the expert emphasizes.

The psychologist recommends that you make it a habit to constantly ask yourself questions. Simple, worldly: “What should I eat? Do I want to buy this T-shirt? Complex and fundamental: “What do I like? “What brings me joy?” Reasoning with yourself will make it easier to make choices in the future, as you will already know yourself better.
