“As part of the holding of events in the central part of the city, until May 10, access to short-term car rental services will be limited. In the central part of the city, the lease start and end feature will become temporarily unavailable,” the department said in a statement.
On Thursday, May 4, GPS malfunctions were recorded in central Moscow. In this regard, the Citydrive car-sharing service advised customers not to rent a car inside the Garden Ring, as “cars may not display correctly on the map”. The Baza Telegram Channel reported that Interior Ministry officials in Moscow were told they had “activated a GPS position change” during the rehearsal for the Victory Parade.
On Wednesday May 3, the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, announced that the launching of drones was prohibited in the capital, with the exception of those used “by decision of the state authorities”.
