Germany – NRW allows worship services from May 1

April 24, 2020

Churches and religious communities in North Rhine-Westphalia can once again celebrate public services and hold meetings from May 1.

The state government announced in Dusseldorf on Thursday that they would be able to take precautions to maintain the minimum distance and protect against the spread of the coronavirus by then.

On the basis of the concepts and catalogues of measures presented by the religious communities, the state government sees “the possibility that church services can be celebrated again in a timely manner with the participation of believers”.
