Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The European Union agreed on sanctions against Russia for the poisoning of Navalny

European Union ambassadors gave the green light to sanctions against Russia for the poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny , RFE / RL journalist Rikard Jozwiak said.

He said that six people and one company fell under the sanctions of Brussels. This decision will be published tomorrow in the Official Journal of the European Union.

“The EU ambassadors gave the green light to sanctions against 6 people and 1 company responsible for the poisoning of Navalny,” Yosvyak said.

Recall France and Germany initiate additional sanctions against Russia for the poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. Countries have declared their firm condemnation of Navalny’s poisoning with the nerve agent Novichok, which had previously confirmed by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

Earlier, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny called on the leadership of European countries and the European Union impose sanctions on oligarchs and the closest circle of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Due to the fact that German politicians accuse Russia of poisoning opposition leader Alexei Navalny, relations between countries may worsen said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
