Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency has been blocked in Azerbaijan for publishing “separatist tendencies”, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport announced on Saturday.
– Access to the RIA Novosti agency has been blocked due to the publication of separatist tendencies against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan – the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan also issued a statement stating that the agency’s media coverage does not correspond to the spirit of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
This came after a news agency published an interview with Artak Beglaryan, one of Karabakh’s separatist leaders, using the term “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” and calling Artak Beglaryan a “state minister”.
