“For the first time I went abroad without my parents and, of course, I was worried,” said seventh-grade student Bogdan Brovko. – We were greeted very warmly and all worries immediately disappeared. I was especially afraid that my knowledge was insufficient. During classes, the difference in preparation became noticeable, but the Russian guys immediately began to help, and I quickly adapted. I would like to add that the trip allowed me not only to improve my knowledge in certain subjects, but also to make new friends. We exchanged our phone numbers and now we communicate. We invited them to visit us in Issyk-Kul.
Seventh-grader Ainazik Muratova enthusiastically shared her impressions not only of the lessons, but also of the cultural program.
“I was afraid that I would start getting lower grades in subjects than at home, but the Russian teachers were so attentive that from the first lesson I realized that there was nothing to fear,” said Ainazik Muratova. – In addition to classes, it was very interesting for me to get acquainted with Russian culture. Of course, I have seen the historical monuments of Russia many times on TV, but it’s a completely different matter when everything appears before you with your own eyes.
Umayr Avtandilov, Nurgyz Beishekeev and Aibike Ilyasov, in turn, were not indifferent to the trip to the city of Yaroslavl. The girls were arguing over the many architectural landmarks they saw. At the local theater, the children saw performances based on works of Russian classics, visited an art gallery, a planetarium and a chintz museum. But the Volga, about which they read so much in books, made a special impression on them, of course.
- Since we were in Russia, I tried to do more and more Russian and literature, – admitted Nurgyz Beishekeyeva. – I spent a lot of time in the library. The teachers were very attentive and patient with us. If something was unclear, they treated us extra. I also had time to play sports. At home I practice judo, but in Russia I decided to try sambo. It was awesome. And on New Year’s Eve, the school organized a masquerade ball. It was very cool!
The Kyrgyz teachers who accompanied the group of school children were also impressed by the trip. Thus, according to the teacher of Kyrgyz language and literature of the secondary school named after Chalagyz Imankulov Aigul Kalykova, she got acquainted with new methods of teaching humanitarian subjects. Additionally, Russian colleagues shared some homework tracking methods during e-learning.
Mathematics teacher Amantur Uturov assures that the adaptation of children to Russia went very quickly, although almost all of them were abroad for the first time.
“Within an hour they became friends with Russian peers and talked like old friends,” Amantur Uturov said. – And our Russian colleagues welcomed us very warmly. Everyone tried to ignore us. They shared their teaching experience – classroom management methods and teaching lessons on a specific topic. In a nutshell, the trip was not only interesting, but also useful and fruitful from a professional point of view.

Venera Akmatbekova, senior specialist of the Issyk-Kul district education department:
- Participation in the Russian educational program “Interdom for children of Kyrgyzstan” allowed our students not only to raise their level of knowledge of the Russian language, but also to get to know Russian culture better, to make friends among Russian schoolchildren. We hope that in the future this educational program will operate on an ongoing basis.
Besides
To familiarize their Russian peers with Kyrgyz culture, the young residents of Cholponata organized a concert. Russian schoolchildren saw the folk dances “Zhanyz Biy” and “Kara Zhorgo”, and at the end they sang the song “Our Kyrgyzstan”.
