The new Omsk bridge will probably not be built. It is unlikely that an investor will enter the region, just as it will not be possible to secure funding for the project from the federal budget. This was stated by State Duma deputy Oleg Smolin.
“I share the opinion of Mayor Sergei Shelest that Omsk needs a new bridge, and maybe more than one. But I can hardly imagine that in the current situation the government will allocate funds from the federal budget to such a project, ”noted the parliamentarian on his Telegram channel.
As an example, Smolin cited a subsidized region – Yakutia, where the construction of a bridge across the Lena has been expected for several years. The deputy promised to ask the position of the country’s government regarding the construction of another crossing in Omsk.
The governor of the region, Alexander Burkov, is hardly concerned about the issue, having decided to build the northern bypass of Omsk. However, this project, at best, will not be implemented until 2027.
Meanwhile, today, February 20, Omsk for the first time after the restriction of traffic on the repaired Leningrad bridge was stuck in traffic jams at 10 points. Citizens complain about not seeing the workers at the facility. The situation is also aggravated by snowfall, which utility companies cannot cope with.
