Swedish Defense Minister did not rule out sending tanks to Kiev

The Swedish government will soon present a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. Defense Minister Paul Jonson has admitted that Leopard tanks will be among the arms and equipment sent, TT news agency reported.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, the country maintains a close dialogue with Germany on the supply of tanks to Ukraine. Jonson added that Sweden has already agreed to supply Kiev with 50 Stridsfordon 90 infantry fighting vehicles. In addition, the country’s authorities can send Archer self-propelled guns to Eastern Europe.

Sweden currently has 120 Leopards in service. How much the country will transfer to Ukraine is still unknown.
