G. Andri says untruths are circulating about his business – ‘It can be hard to hold your head up high’

March 1, 2023

G. Andri Bergmann, CEO of Procure Home, says his company suffered from misleading advertising on social media. It can be difficult to defend yourself when this happens. This results in the presence of Visir.is yesterday.
The title of the article is “This is not normal behavior”, but Andri says that the Lúkasar syndrome is alive and well in this kind of discussion and refers to the great uproar that has taken place in the Internet world. in 2007 when the story went viral. that a young man kicked a dog to death on Akureyri, but the dog then turned out to be alive:
“On forums and Facebook groups, we see more and more chatters appearing in CAPS where group members are asked to beware of this or that company. Yes or the individual. Then comes a one-sided narrative, misinterpreted facts and sometimes pure inventions.
It can be hard to keep a cool head there. And if attempted, it promotes behavior within the group that is more reminiscent of the oppression of dictatorial states where only opinions acceptable to the dictator are permitted. In this case, the person who initially shouts the boycott the emotional capitals.
It can rightly be called the Lucas syndrome. After all, the murder has been investigated, the murderer determined, tried and the candles blown out.
Although the dog is sprell-alive.”
Andri says the criticism is justified, but public insults have nothing to do with criticism:
“My business was attacked in a large Facebook discussion group. A customer WARNED THE COMPANY in all caps and said his rides weren’t easy. However, she was completely wrong with the truth and rationalized the events in such a way that one could assume that we had killed a dog. In my modesty, I entered the discussion, corrected inaccuracies, and defended myself and mine. But I was immediately tarred, knocked out of my feathers and kicked out of the coop.”
Andri says that in these discussions the truth didn’t matter, instead there was a competition to slander him and the company as much as possible. He says it’s far from unique and he thinks society needs to turn against this type of behavior online:
“My business and I are not unique and it is now so far in our society that it is enough to make unsubstantiated accusations against people or companies. Livelihoods are reduced and people are insulted if they are doing or intend to do business or attend a concert. Less valued click-baiting media take stock of everything, the behavior of the herd is recognized and the machine is running full blast.”
“We need to see that this is not normal behavior and we as a society need to move on before it’s too late.” We need to get rid of this hatred that characterizes all discussions on social networks. We need to get rid of this polarization and we need to demand that state-sponsored media lead these changes.”
