The local government of Doha has taken decisive action to shut down a food establishment that was in breach of regulations.

The Ministry of Municipality announced the closure of a violating food establishment in Doha for handling food in unsanitary conditions.

And she said on her Twitter account yesterday evening, Thursday, that the Doha Municipality had issued an administrative decision to close "Pedia tea" In Al-Ghanim area (6) for a period of 7 days, in violation of Law No. 8 of 1990 regarding the organization of human food control.

The Ministry of Municipality notes that determining the duration of the closure is due to the discretion of the competent municipal director according to the type and severity of the violation as determined by the law, pointing out that the duration of the closure does not exceed 60 days at a time, and the closures multiply by repeating the violations, indicating that it is not permissible to open the closed shop or start the activity Or maintenance work throughout the closure period, and violating that entails criminal liability.
