Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The UN intends to inform on the situation of the grain agreement in the near future

The UN leadership plans to share an update on the grain deal in the near future. The corresponding statement was made by Deputy Spokesman for the Secretary General of the World Organization Farhan Haq.According to him, this decision is linked to the discussion on the possibility of extending the grain agreement. The UN considers it necessary to allow time for “quiet diplomacy”. As noted by Haq, the organization wants to maintain the progress made in recent months on this initiative.“We may provide additional information in the coming days, but for now the idea is that we are trying to make room for ‘quiet diplomacy’. To make sure everything is going the right way,” he said. The UN is convinced that the grain agreement is beneficial for all parties. The management of the organization considers it necessary to open the export of Russian fertilizers. The UN continues to maintain contacts on the subject, but “there is nothing to announce at this time”, concluded Haq.
