His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, received a number of Their Excellencies, heads of state and government, and heads of delegations of brotherly and friendly countries participating in the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries, separately, at the Qatar National Convention Center this morning. His Highness Emir Al-Moufdi received His Excellency President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency President Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of the Republic of Djibouti, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan, His Excellency President Evarist Ndayishimiye, President of the Republic of Burundi, and Her Excellency Ms. Natasha Burke Musar President of the Republic of Slovenia, and His Excellency President Aleksandar Vucic, President of the Republic of Serbia. His Highness the Emir also received His Excellency Sayyid Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, His Excellency Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and His Excellency Mrs. Sheikh Hasina Wajed, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. During the interviews, they reviewed the cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and their countries and prospects for enhancing them, in addition to the topics on the conference agenda. The meetings were attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Head of the Amiri Diwan, and a number of Their Excellencies senior officials.
