Despite the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, the region is preparing to receive tourists. At present, the region’s tourism ministry is considering options to accommodate tourists on the eve of the holiday, MK reports.
The Kherson region offers a large number of tourist opportunities. The proximity of the Azov and Black seas, the Dnieper and the presence of nature reserves such as “Askania-Nova” may be of interest to tourists.
The region’s Ministry of Tourism is actively campaigning to collect applications from entrepreneurs and legal persons who are ready to welcome tourists. At the moment, the number of applicants is unknown, as well as the additional security measures that guarantee a comfortable stay.

Today, under the confident control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are such popular resorts as Lazurnoye, the Iron Port with Tendrovskaya Spit, Krasnoye, the Khorly Peninsula on the Black Sea coast. Despite the ongoing shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the temporary transfer of the capital to Genichesk, there are no plans to abandon tourist programs. For example, at least two programs were launched in Skadovsk in February. Probably, at the beginning of the holiday season, the situation will change dramatically.

Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that the RF Armed Forces were fighting against special forces near Kherson. In the footage, the Crimean intelligence service encountered units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, during an intense battle, forced them to retreat.
