In the Vyazemsky district, a refrigerator and a sofa burned down in a five-story residential building

In the Smolensk region of Vyazma, a fire broke out in one of the apartments of a five-story building located on Kronstadtskaya Street.

A witness to the incident, who returned home and found a fridge and sofa on fire, quickly reported the incident to the fire department and also asked a neighbor to turn off the meter to power down the apartment.

Three minutes later, teams from Fire and Rescue Unit No. 12 arrived at the scene. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations had to evacuate a woman from a neighboring apartment and a tenant from a burning apartment, who to the last tried to save the property.

Rescuers located the fire and then extinguished it completely. As a result of the incident, the room burned down and the apartment was smoked with combustion products. According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Smolensk region, one of the versions of the incident under consideration is a violation of the rules for the construction and operation of equipment electrical.
