A criminal investigation was initiated in Moscow following a fracas between pupils concerning communication in the chatroom.

On the fact of a fight between two pupils of a school of the Novokosino district in the east of Moscow, a criminal case was opened for intentional assault. On this subject reported the investigation department of the capital of the Investigation Committee (IC) in its telegram channel. The Moscow Ministry of Education said the cause of the conflict was chat correspondence.

We are talking about a conflict that arose on March 9 between two 16-year-old schoolchildren, as a result of which one of them suffered physical injuries. During the pre-investigation check, it turned out that the participants in the fight had quarreled several times.

The injured teenager was taken to one of the city’s hospitals, where he received medical treatment. “A complex of investigative actions is underway to establish a full picture of what happened, a forensic examination has been appointed,” reported the Investigative Committee of the Moscow Investigative Committee.

The report from the capital’s investigation department does not say whether there are any defendants in the case. According to the Criminal Code, persons charged under the article on intentionally inflicting serious bodily harm (part 1 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) face a penalty of up to eight years in prison.

The conduct of the investigation of the criminal case is controlled by the Perovskaya interdistrict prosecutor’s office, specify in the telegram channel of the Moscow prosecutor’s office. “Investigators from the Moscow Investigative Committee are at the scene, the principal, teachers and eyewitnesses to the incident are being interviewed,” the department added.

What do we know about the fight

A fight between schoolchildren took place in the hallway of the school at recess. The brawl was caught on video, which then swept through the media and social networks.

“The conflict between two students of the 10th class “G” arose after a correspondence in the chat. At the break after the second lesson, the students got into a verbal skirmish, which later turned into a fight,” said school director Viktor Dyachkov in Msk1.

At the Moscow Department of Education reported RBC that the conflict arose due to correspondence in the chat. “In view of the visible injuries of one of the participants in the fight, the school staff called an ambulance. The ambulance doctor, together with the victim’s mother, decided on the need for hospitalization, ”the message reads. The department added that in connection with the incident, “preventive measures” are being taken at the school.

“TVNZ” clarified that the beaten teenager suffered a fractured frontal bone and a cranio-cerebral lesion. REN TV, citing the boy’s father, notes that he needs an operation. Male reported television station that school staff did not call the police after the fight, and all documents about the incident were passed to law enforcement by the victim’s parents.

“Judging by the images that appeared at our disposal, the passing employees did not even rush to help the child,” suggests REN TV on its Telegram channel.
