Former Liverpool legend Stephen Gerrard expressed his admiration for the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, during a meeting that brought them together, noting that the reason for this was his son Leo.
And the official account of the Liverpool channel on Twitter published, on Friday night, a brief video clip from a full interview broadcast on the club’s channel, entitled “When Stephen met Salah,” showing the moment Salah asked Gerrard about his favorite player.
Gerrard responded to Salah’s question about who his favorite player is at the moment, surprised "My favorite player now is you, it must be you because my son Leo is fond of you, loves you more than me".
And about his favorite player when he was young, Gerrard said, “John Barnes, because he is like you, skillful, and he can score goals with individual effort, and he can change the course of the match, and he can win the match, just as you (Salah) do.”
