Actor Pedro Pascal slept while filming his hero’s death scene in ‘Game of Thrones’

Pascal played Oberyn Martell in the series. The hero dies in the final duel with Ser Gregor Clegane. Martell’s adversary brutally kills him by gouging out his eyes.

According to Pascal, during the filming of the scene, pieces of meat were used, which were smeared on his face. It was all filled with artificial blood so that it pooled and spread around the amphitheater to create a good view from above, the actor said.“At that time, I was sleeping soundly. It was so hot, and all these props were so cold to the touch, and for a long time I had to lie completely still,” The Wrap artist quotes.

Pascal explained that all this had a relaxing effect on him. Moreover, the actor realized that the grueling four-day filming of the fight was coming to an end. According to the artist, he fell into the deepest sleep of his life.

Pascal also admitted that he had trouble sleeping. Thanks to the filming of Game of Thrones, he realized that it took blood and pieces of meat on his face to fall asleep quickly, the actor joked.
