The Katara Cultural Village Foundation announced the winners of the Katara Award for the poet of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, in its sixth session, during a grand ceremony held yesterday, Friday, at the Opera Theater, attended by a large number of Their Excellencies ministers, ambassadors, and those interested in poetry, including His Excellency Mr. Masoud bin Muhammad Al-Amiri, Minister of Justice, His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al-Thani, Director General of the General Department of Awqaf at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al-Thani, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada and His Highness Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Abdullah Al Farhan Al Saud, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He expressed his happiness at winning the third place for the Katara Prize for the Poet of the Prophet. Poet Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Subaie from Kuwait expressed his happiness at winning the first place in the Nabati poetry category, and expressed his deep thanks to Katara for providing this platform to compete in praising the Prophet of the nation, the best of blessings and peace be upon him.
