There are only five weeks left before the coronation of Charles III on May 6, and the “puzzle” of the British monarchy is still unsolved. And the question is whether the ceremony will be attended by the king’s youngest son, Prince Harry, with his wife, or not. As we learned, the couple are now “negotiating” with Charles III on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
According to tradition, after the proclamation of a new king at Westminster Abbey, the monarch, accompanied by close members of his family, goes to the balcony of the palace to greet his subjects. It is expected that Charles III will be accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla, eldest son, Prince William, with his wife Catherine and three children: George, Charlotte and Louis. And probably someone else, among the working members of the royal family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle insist they will only come to the coronation if they are present on the balcony at Buckingham Palace. However, Charles III is still pondering this matter, drawing the couple’s attention to the fact that, despite being members of his family, they refused to work for the good of Britain and therefore did not the right to greet the citizens of the country from the balcony. How these negotiations will end, we will probably know in the coming weeks.
