Head of Murmansk region discussed plans for future cooperation with Russian Ambassador to Armenia

A meeting took place in Armenia between the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin. The conversation took place within the framework of the visit of the delegation of the Murmansk region to Armenia. This was reported in the regional policy of the Ministry of Information.

The theme of the meeting was the interaction between the Arctic and Armenia. Andrey Chibis therefore spoke about tourism, logistics, the assets of the region and the projects in progress. These lands open up important prospects for cooperation and joint projects.

The head of the region presented the following data: more than 265 projects are being implemented in the Murmansk region, the amount of investment in which should be about 1 trillion rubles over the next ten years.

He is convinced that the projects will help to develop not only the region, but all of Russia as a whole, since the Murmansk region is one of the most important strategic regions in the country. It represents the interests of the Russian Federation in the Arctic. Many initiatives are being implemented on its territory, which were supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In particular, Andrey Chibis focused on the development of lithium deposits, the implementation of the integrated development of the Murmansk transport hub and new tools for creating infrastructure for future and existing residents of the development zone priority Arctic Capital. The manager is convinced that expanding the geography of cooperation will open up many new opportunities.
