Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva wants to propose the creation of a “peace club” with the participation of China to end the conflict in Ukraine, writes the Financial Times, citing Brazilian Foreign Minister Maura Vieira.

The president intends to make such a proposal during his visit to China.

“We are very interested in promoting or helping to organize any meeting that would lead to a peace process. The president has said so many times that he hears a lot about conflict, but very little about peace. He is interested in the peace talks,” Vieira said.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will begin his five-day visit to China on Sunday, March 26.

Previously, Lula da Silva, during a meeting with Biden in Washington, invited him to visit Brazil.
