The Consulate General of the Russian Federation said it did not know the whereabouts of Artem Uss

The businessman and son of the governor of Krasnoyarsk, Artem Uss, if detained in Italy, will face criminal charges for willful violation of the conditions of stay under house arrest. This was reported to The Eastern Herald by the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Milan Dmitry Shtodin.

According to the diplomat, the Consulate General does not know where Artem Uss is. The details and circumstances of the incident are also unknown. It should be noted that the escaped businessman’s lawyers are now preparing to appeal the extradition decision to the United States.

Recall that Artem Uss was detained in Italy on October 17 on an international warrant. In the United States, the businessman is accused of money laundering and evasion of sanctions.

Recently, a court in Milan approved the extradition of Uss to the United States. But on the eve it became known that on March 22 the entrepreneur escaped from house arrest.

The Consulate General of the Russian Federation said it did not know Artem Uss’s whereabouts for the first time on Current Articles.
