The Qatari Forum for Authors, affiliated to the Ministry of Culture, honored the trainers and participants in the intensive training program for writing the novel “Creative”, which included a theoretical aspect presented by Dr. Abdel-Haq Belabed Professor of Literature and Critical Studies at the College of Arts and Sciences at Qatar University, and a theoretical part was presented by the novelist Dr. Ahmed Abdel Malek, and more than 20 trainees interested in literary writing participated in it over a period of more than a month. Aisha Jassim Al-Kuwari, Director General of the Forum, stressed the Forum’s commitment to providing everything that can enrich the cultural and knowledge movement in the State of Qatar for citizens and residents alike. She expressed her happiness with the outputs of the training program, which resulted in manuscripts for promising fictional projects, in which the trainees used everything they learned in a creative program. She said that the forum will continue to sponsor talents and those interested in such programs. And announced its intention to present other new versions in the near future with the aim of discovering and nurturing talents, improving the level of literary works, enhancing the cultural scene and providing it with new pens capable of competing in the Gulf, Arab and international countries. She thanked the trainers for their commitment and interest and the huge amount of information they provided to the trainees by fully explaining the components and basics of novel writing and providing illustrative examples from Arab and international novels. It is noteworthy that the “creative” training program has received a great turnout since its announcement, and ended with the handing out of certificates to the participants who committed themselves to attending the workshops.
