Ukraine says it is ready to pay $3 billion in debt to the IMF in 2023

This year, Ukraine intends to pay a debt of three billion dollars to the International Monetary Fund. This is in reference to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy Daniil Getmantsev writes RT.

“The memorandum with the IMF was approved by the government on Friday, we are doing everything so that the 4-year program with the IMF appears before the end of the month,” added the deputy.

Recall, last Wednesday it became known that the IMF and Kiev have reached an agreement on a loan program for a period of four years. Its amount will be 15.6 billion dollars.

In February, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said authorities expected to receive the first tranche from the International Monetary Fund in the first or second quarter of this year.
