The General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced the continuation of cooperation with the program "Every spring a flower" And sponsoring it for the current year, with the aim of introducing young people to the Qatari environment and the importance of preserving it. In this context, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Thani, Director General of the General Endowments Department, expressed, during a press conference, his pleasure with this environmental partnership with the Awqaf Program. "Every spring a flower" This year, he called for intensifying efforts to preserve the integrity of green spaces, kindergartens, and places that contain local plants, as they are a national and global wealth that must be preserved, as they are linked to an important life cycle that affects the vital environment in the country, in addition to its association with the aesthetic dimension of human life. And he said: "Increasing awareness of the importance of vegetation cover in preserving the environment, and building positive behavior towards it among generations, is a legitimate requirement that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, urged in many hadiths."He indicated that this partnership comes within the community partnerships that the General Directorate of Awqaf holds with various sectors of society. Last year, about 4,154 male and female students benefited from the program. In turn, Dr. Saif Ali Al-Hajri, Head of the Program "Every spring has a flower" Expressing his thanks and appreciation for the endowment support, he said: "This pioneering regional program was launched by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser in the year 1999, and it is a qualitative initiative that aims to link children with their natural heritage in a way that enhances hope for a green future in order to achieve the vision of the State of Qatar 2030.". During the press conference, he indicated that the program seeks every year to celebrate a plant that the State of Qatar abounds with, with a focus on selecting perennial plants of particular importance to the coastal or desert nature of the country.
