In the Orel region, officials illegally rented land. The violations were discovered by the prosecutor’s office. During the audit, it was established that the authorities of the Glazunov district provided a land object, state property for which is not demarcated. They provided the man with land for the construction of a residential building.
When the term of the rental agreement ended, the Orlovchanin did not ask the local administration to conclude an agreement for a new term or to purchase the object. As a result, the land remained assigned to him. At the same time, he did not pay rent, thereby causing damage to the Glazunov district administration.
The prosecutor’s office filed a complaint in which it demanded to recover the man’s unjust enrichment from the local budget. The requirements have been met.
