At least nine powerful explosions were heard in the skies over Belgorod on Thursday evening. Video recordings of loud noises have been posted by eyewitnesses on social media.
People note that a series of explosions sounded from 10:10 p.m. Moscow time. They continued for 20 minutes. In homes downtown, windows rattled and several cars had alarms.
Some residents of Belgorod suggest that the explosions are related to the functioning of the air defense system. There is no official information yet.
Earlier, residents of the Rostov region heard a sound similar to an explosion.
