The businesswoman and hotel heiress Paris Hilton shared photos of her and her son on Instagram yesterday. “My heart. #MotherMonday.
The photos are in black and white and show Paris hugging her only son, Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum, who was born in January. Paris said about her son’s name that she wanted to name him after a city, like her own name.
Paris recently released her memoir, and in a promotional video for the book, she says she chose the name Phoenix years ago. “My beautiful son’s name is Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum. We’re going to call him Phoenix, a name I chose years ago. When I was looking at cities, countries and states on a map, I was looking for a name that would go well with Paris and London. Phoenix is associated with pop culture, but more importantly the name is the name of a bird that burns and rises from the ashes to fly again.”
Paris is 42 and her and her husband’s son, Carter Reum, was born with the help of a surrogate. Paris announced the birth of her son with a photo on Instagram of her holding his hand. “You are already loved more than words can describe.”
Paris said she and her husband were proud to announce the birth of their son. “I want my son to grow up knowing that life has its ups and downs, but we always have hope for the future.”
