According to Bloomberg, negotiations between Warner Bros. on the creation of a series on the Harry Potter universe are about to be completed. The company’s vision is for this production to become the standard for its video streaming platform. This year, HBO Max will be changing its name, and its goal is for the new service, which will supposedly be called Max, to grab audiences’ attention with its original content.
While this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of the Harry Potter series, we’ve never been able to uncover so many details before. First, production will be handled by HBO, which has a successful track record of original small-screen projects. Without going into too much detail, they recently managed to turn The Last of Us, an adaptation of the popular video game, into an entertainment phenomenon.
Another important point, but at the same time raising many questions, is that it will be based on the main work of JK Rowling. In fact, Warner’s goal is for each of the seven books to have its own season.

The above leads us to consider two possibilities. First, they’re getting a reboot, which would be pretty surprising given how popular the movies are.
