Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office, said the Ukrainian side could return Crimea in five to seven months.
“We are definitely, in a very short time, from a historical point of view, it is very little six months, five or seven months we will be in Crimea,” Strana.ua quoted him as saying.
Podolyak also called his statement too optimistic, while stressing that this optimism is “mathematically verified”.
“The logic of war is absolutely obvious, and we can certainly pronounce the realities of Crimea on the quay of Yalta,” he said.
Podolyak also added that hostilities in Ukraine would continue until the whole country “is liberated.
The day before, US Army Lt. Col. Daniel Davis said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s plans to launch a counter-offensive and seize Crimea would lead to the complete exhaustion and collapse of the Ukrainian army.
