By systematically expanding the legal basis for interaction, he pointed out, the parties have opened up broadband superhighways to revitalize businesses, cooperation between scientific circles and creative teams, and partnerships between industry associations. youth. Freedom of movement of citizens and capital, equal opportunities in education and employment are all undeniable advantages of integration in the eyes of ordinary Belarusians and Russians.
In this regard, it is production cooperation that Lukashenka has designated as a key area of bilateral relations, thanks to which “more than eight thousand Belarusian and Russian companies have gained, hundreds of thousands of jobs have been created”.
And the Head of State called the number of trade operations a sort of marker of the success of economic cooperation, recalling that over the past 27 years, the value of trade has increased more than four and a half times.
Over the years of building the Union State, the President said, more than 60 joint scientific and technical programs have been implemented in various fields: space exploration, information technology, agriculture, production of materials and devices. “Many developments are successfully introduced into production, thanks to which the program of import substitution and reduction of dependence on Western technologies is implemented,” Lukashenko said.
In a nutshell, he believes, Belarus and Russia “have undoubtedly withstood the first massive external economic blows enough”, while acknowledging that failed attempts at economic blockade are being replaced by military blackmail in the form of targeted reinforcement of NATO forces. and assets close to the borders of the State of the Union.
In his speech, the President also touched on the issue of creating an effective defense and security system, within which the regional grouping of troops and the unified air defense system function successfully.
The measures taken to strengthen border security, the Belarusian leader explained, have made it possible to significantly increase the protection of the Union state against international terrorism, uncontrolled migration flows, smuggling of arms and ammunition , drug trafficking and illegal economic activity.
The President also spoke about the operation, which was carried out jointly with the Federal Security Service of Russia, as a result of which the entire network was rendered harmless. “In the near future we will inform the company,” he said.
Unfortunately, the president said, “the ideological confrontation along the west-east line will not falter even after the silence of the guns. It is for a long time,” he is sure, adding that the State of the Union has no right to “lose the battle for the minds and hearts of our citizens on the print, television, radio and digital battlegrounds.” In this regard, he again recalled the need to have a serious allied media holding company.
