World champions Argentina reach the top of the FIFA,Football,Soccer rankings for the first time in 6 years

World Cup winners Argentina on Thursday managed to top the FIFA world rankings for the first time in six years. Argentina had won two friendlies last month to move past Brazil at the top.

Brazil had lost 1-2 to Morocco, which dropped them to third place. France, who lost to Argentina in the World Cup final, has moved up one place to second.

They defeated the Netherlands and Ireland in consecutive matches of the European Championship qualifiers.

Belgium is fourth as before while England is fifth. After this comes the number of Netherlands, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
