Lavrov: the words about the United States “not long to wait” mean that the truth will soon prevail

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov explained his “not long to wait” phrase on relations with the United States. According to him, he meant that the truth would always prevail.

“I wanted to say that the truth will prevail anyway,” Lavrov told a news conference after talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs clarified that “not for long” can be applied to different periods, especially in historical terms.

Lavrov is on a work trip to Türkiye. He met Cavusoglu and then President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
