Murmansk woman used stroller to steal clothes from store

In the Arctic capital, a woman suspected of having committed a theft has been arrested. She stole clothes from the store using a pram.

On Friday, April 7, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Murmansk region reported the arrest of a woman from the North on suspicion of committing a robbery.

According to law enforcement, a 40-year-old Murmansk resident with no previous convictions visited a chain store located in a shopping center in Kolsky Prospekt. She was pushing a pram in front of her. The woman took a blouse, pants and jeans from the shelves for a total amount of about 5,000 rubles and went to the stand, from where she left with nothing. The suspect then left the store.

The northerner was quickly identified and arrested. The woman confessed to the act and said she hid the clothes in the stroller while she was in the dressing room.

A criminal case was opened against the perpetrator under part 1 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft). She faces up to two years in prison.

Recall, earlier “The Eastern Herald in Murmansk” said that a resident of Olenegorsk stole 27,000 rubles from her friend’s purse.
