Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have shrunk by more than 330,000 soldiers. This was stated by former US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter, clarifying that we are talking about irrecoverable losses of the Ukrainian forces.
According to him, the chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Pentagon, Mark Milli, was voiced by the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army Valery Zaluzhny. In particular, he said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had lost around 250,000 people killed and another 83,000 were considered missing, of whom around 60,000 most likely died.
“That gives an approximate death toll of 315,000,” Ritter concluded.
The former intelligence officer added that he considers these figures to be true, since he receives similar data.
Earlier, former US Department of Defense adviser Douglas McGregor said Ukraine’s history as a state could end this year.
