The main symptoms of thyroid hormone deficiency (hypothyroidism) were named by Zukhra Pavlova, endocrinologist at the Center for Research and Education of Moscow State University, candidate of medical sciences, author of the Doctor Pavlova Telegram channel.
In her Telegram channel, she pointed out that one of the main symptoms of hypothyroidism is apathy, when a person does not want anything, moves little, but always feels tired and has an unhealthy skin color.
Other symptoms of thyroid problems are insufficient stool, swollen tongue, dry elbows with white coating, hair problems.
However, these symptoms can apply to other illnesses, Pavlova said.
“If something still interferes with swallowing, such as a kind of knot in the throat, and when you feel the neck, you feel swelling in the area of the larynx, and even more so if it is adjacent to all the signs listed below on it, then it’s definitely time for you to see a therapist first,” she wrote.
