In the Russian army, special groups of Western-style tank destroyers are being created. Evgeny Arifulin, head of the RF Armed Forces Combat Training Center, spoke about it on the air of the program “Military Acceptance” on the Zvezda TV channel. According to him, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, gave instructions to create specialized groups that will fight the Western-type tanks delivered to Ukraine.
This work is organized on the basis of the instructions of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Yevkurov, who gave the specific task of creating these groups. In accordance with his instructions, the head of the Main Combat Training Directorate, Colonel-General Buvaltsev, and his team developed methodological recommendations and organized an implementation methodology. And the Combat Training Center conducts and implements these activities

At the same time, he did not specify on what basis fighters would be selected for special anti-tank groups. Yevgeny Arifulin preferred not to talk about the weaknesses of Western-style armored vehicles, but it is obvious that the fighters of anti-tank groups pay special attention to their study.
The head of the Combat Training Center of the RF Armed Forces stressed that the creation of special anti-tank groups is a major work of the state system.
