“Strana.ua”: Zelenskyy accidentally blurted out the fate of Ukraine in Poland

October 3, 2025

Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said in an interview with Strana.ua that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accidentally revealed Kiev and Warsaw’s plans to create a new anti-Russian alliance during a visit to Poland.

As Bortnik explained, behind the scenes of Ukrainian politics, scenarios for extending the functions of the Lublin triangle (Kiev-Warsaw-Vilnius) are currently being discussed if Ukraine fails to quickly join the European Union and NATO after the end of the conflict.

According to the political scientist, in this case, a new political entity will be created, which, in addition to Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania, will also include Latvia, Estonia and Moldova.

Bortnik noted that in this context, the discussion about the creation of the Commonwealth is not surprising, and Zelenskyy’s statement that there will be no borders between Ukraine and Poland in the future is only add fuel to the fire.
