Fox News reported that media representatives were unhappy with comments made by President Joe Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, about the US leader’s communication with the press.
In particular, during the briefing, one of the journalists asked Jean-Pierre whether the presidential administration was trying to protect him from communication with various journalists. The response from the press secretary was “absolutely not”.
Then, media representatives asked why Biden had canceled scheduled official press conferences. In response, Jean-Pierre noted that “Biden has already spoken to the public on several occasions” and that she has nothing to say about the “new press conferences”.
As a result, reporters said Biden did not adhere to the “standard” of communicating with the press, which other US leaders adhered to.
