In the rest of the opening round competitions of the second division, Al-Sadd beat Qatar 29-22, Al-Wakra beat Al-Shamal 38-20, Al-Rayyan beat Al-Ahly 30-24, Al-Duhail beat Al-Khor 34-31, and despite the stumbling, Al-Gharafa kept their lead.
