Washington: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope at NASA Goddard in Greenbelt, Maryland yesterday. The space telescope is a NASA observatory designed to address essential questions in the fields of dark energy, exoplanets, and infrared astrophysics. The telescope is named after Dr. Nancy Grace Roman, who was also the first female executive and first chief of astronomy at NASA, and is widely known as the mother of the Hubble Space Telescope. During this, India’s Ambassador to America Taranjit Singh Sandhu and a delegation of Indian officials also accompanied Mrs. Sitharaman. On this occasion, a presentation was also made by the institute here.
