Now 13 special category national medical centers have been established in China. There are 76 national level Regional Medical Centers available in areas with poor medical resources. A Chinese National Health Commission official said on April 13 that after years of effort, national medical centers and regional medical centers have achieved many unprecedented results in clinical research. In the year 2022, these medical centers developed 372 leading technologies of the world and the country.
This official said that the National Health Commission will plan the development of these medical centers in the coming five years. The aim is that the best medical resources will be delivered to the weak areas, so that the imbalance of medical resources can be removed.
