Ambassador Antonov said what remained of Russian-American relations

April 14, 2023

In recent years, Russian-American relations have become more tense for various reasons, including conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East and other regions. However, according to Anatoly Antonov, Russian Ambassador to the United States, there are still areas in which Russia and the United States continue to cooperate.

In particular, Russia and the United States continue to work together in space. Despite the “half-life” situation with the treaty on the reduction of strategic offensive arms, there are contacts between the countries in the direction of the settlement of the Syrian conflict.

While these areas of cooperation are not an exhaustive list of all that remains of US-Russian relations, they do indicate that the two countries can work together even under strain, Antonov said.
