The environmental control and life protection system of China’s human space flight project has completely changed from “supply type” to “regenerative type”. The oxygen resource in China’s space station is 100 percent regenerated and the degree of circulation of water resource is more than 95 percent. Main technical indexes are ahead of the world.
It is said that the environmental control and life safety system provides astronauts with the basic living conditions and proper working environment in space, so as to ensure the health and life safety of astronauts. This arrangement is regarded as the life “umbrella” of the astronaut.
