New Delhi. Under the leadership of President Draupadi Murmu, a grateful nation on Friday paid rich tributes to the architect of the Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, on his 132nd birth anniversary. The main function was organized in front of the statue of Dr. Ambedkar in the Sansad Bhavan premises. Mrs. Murmu paid floral tributes at the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Several other Union ministers and dignitaries including Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also paid rich tributes to the architect of the Constitution.
Thousands of people also reached the Parliament House complex to pay homage to the statue of Dr. Ambedkar. Buddhist chanting was also done in front of the idol on this occasion. Earlier, Smt. Murmu said in a tweet, “On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the architect of our Constitution, I extend my heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the countrymen.” Described as a genius.
Paying tributes to Dr. Ambedkar, Mr. Dhankhar said that he was an intellectual, jurist, social reformer and a true nationalist. He fought for the rule of law throughout his life and worked tirelessly to bring about equality. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, “Tributes to Pujya Babasaheb on his birth anniversary who dedicated his life to the empowerment of the deprived and downtrodden sections of the society. – Hundreds of salutations. Jai Bhim Dr. Ambedkar in different parts of the country.” The news of Jayanti has been coming.
