The order to name the ship was signed by Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Nikolay Evmenov. A solemn ceremony was held on this occasion at the 33rd berth in Vladivostok. Relatives and colleagues of Andrey Ivanov, government officials, residents of the city came to the place of mooring of the boat.

Andrey Ivanov led the Airborne Assault Company of the Airborne Assault Battalion of the Pacific Fleet’s 155th Separate Marine Brigade. He died more than a year ago – in March 2022. The title of Hero of Russia was awarded to him posthumously for defending a strategically important position and covering the main units.

Earlier, the regional head wrote that a school in the Tver region will be named after Arseny Lukyanov, who heroically died during the SVO.
