A member of the clergy was injured in the stomach following the shelling of the church district in Donetsk
A sub-deacon of the Church of the Ascension was injured in the stomach during the shelling of the area near the Transfiguration Cathedral in central Donetsk. This is reported by RT in reference to one of the clergy. In total, as a result of the shelling, according to the latest data, three residents were injured.
One person is also known to have died. It’s a woman. She was in the car next to which the rockets exploded. In addition to the square in front of the cathedral, explosions were heard at the bus station and at the covered market next to the temple.
A TASS law enforcement source claims that before the bombing, a Ukrainian drone was seen in the sky above the center of Donetsk. According to the agency’s interlocutor, before the holidays, the Armed Forces of Ukraine intensified aerial reconnaissance. It was carried out in several parts of the city at once, the air defense systems worked until dawn.
According to the JCCC, the fire was fired from the direction of the Ocheretino settlement. Artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired 20 rockets from several rocket launchers in the Voroshilovskaya district of Donetsk. The shelling was recorded at 03:25.
