Qatari media learned that Mr. Jassim Al-Buainain is the only candidate for the presidency of the Football Association, succeeding His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, who did not run for the position during the coming period. And the 4 names that applied for candidacy for membership of the Board of Directors are:
Mr. Hani Talib Ballan, Mr. Mohammed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Mr. Khalid Abdullah Al Sulaiti, and Mr. Hasan Juma Al Muhannadi
The door for candidacy closed today, Monday, April 17, 2023.
It is noteworthy that the current board of directors, whose term expires with the Football Association elections next May, included His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani as Chairman, and his late deputy, God willing, Mr. Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Muhannadi, and the membership of Mr. Ibrahim Khalil Al-Muhannadi, and Mr. Wahani Talib Ballan, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Thani, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Qahtani, and Mr. Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Buainain.
