Ahmed Bin Ali Al Mundial Stadium hosts the Emir Cup final

The Qatar Football Association announced that the Ahmed Bin Ali World Cup stadium will host the final match of the fifty-first edition of the Emir Cup 2023, which will be held on May 12.

The final match is scheduled to bring together the two winning teams from the four teams that qualified for the semi-final round of the expensive tournament, where Al-Shahaniya will meet Al-Sadd, and Al-Sailiya will play with Al-Arabi in the two semi-final matches that will be held on April 24-25, according to a statement published by the Qatar Football Association. .

Ahmed bin Ali Stadium had hosted the final of the forty-eighth edition, which brought together Al-Sadd in Arabic, and Al-Sadd crowned it with a 2-1 victory, on the day of its inauguration, to become the fourth stadium for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™️ to be opened, corresponding to the National Day of the State of Qatar.

The design of Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium and the surrounding buildings simulate aspects of local culture and traditions. As for its external façade, it reflects the ripples of the sand dunes, while the distinctive geometric shapes depict the beauty of the desert, the local flora and fauna, as well as local and international trade. It has also become the ideal home for Al Rayyan Club after The end of the tournament.

More than 80% of the building materials have been used from the original stadium that previously occupied the site, while the trees around the old stadium have been carefully preserved.
