Narian-Mar prepares for the opening of a hand-embroidery exhibition

It presents more than 30 works of craftswomen from different towns and villages of the NAO

Embroidery is one of the most common and popular types of folk art and home sewing.

  • Handmade embroidery and now in the world of high technology has not lost its relevance, this is confirmed by our exhibition, which presents more than 30 works of craftswomen from Naryan-Mar, Nes, Velikotemporal, Nelmin-Nos, Amderma, Khongurei, Karatayka, Khorei-Vera. – informs the official page of the Ethnocultural Center of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug in VKontakte. – The pieces in our exhibition are made using various techniques: cross stitch, satin stitch, ribbons, beads, gold embroidery, etc. The subjects of the works are diverse: picturesque landscapes and still lifes, animal compositions and colorful bouquets, genre scenes and copies of masterpieces of world art.
